I’ve always been drawn to understanding how food works and loved cooking since I could reach the countertop. When asked what I wanted to be when i grew up "I want to be a cooker!" was go to answer.
My love for cooking and my background in biomedical science lead me directly to a fasination in pizza since it fuses science and fundemental cooking. Careful dough fermentation and gluten development, heat control, and ingredient balance produces consistent, high-level results. And seeing how happy it makes people when i get these all right makes all the preparation worth it.
There's more to the Firefed story than just a passion for cooking. After losing my mother in 2025 I made the decision to move away from working for someone else, in a job I'm not satisfied with. To building something for myself doing something I love and can be proud of.
We specialise in a refined take on Neapolitan-style pizza. Light, airy dough with a crisp structure, cooked at high heat and topped with carefully developed combinations that prioritise flavour over excess. Every pizza is designed to be simple, balanced, and done well. Our trailer setup is compact, efficient, and adaptable to a wide range of events and locations. For you, that means less to manage. Firefed pizza catered to a party we held recently. 40 pizzas, with a choice of topping. They were all amazing! So tasty and freshly made. The wood fired oven looks fab and made the homemade base taste incredible! And Hywel is lovely too!! Would highly recommend that you book firefed pizzas for your event! Definitely *** 5 stars!

Hywel at Firefed Pizza was great! He helped out catering a birthday party I attended recently, and even though it was pretty busy, everything came together really well. The pizzas were spot on, fresh, tasty, and perfectly cooked. Hywel is easygoing, funny and professional, he kept things running smoothly. Highly recommend and would happily have them again.
